Skills Building & Pre-Employment Services

Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) Program- is designed to assist high school transition students with disabilities ages 14-22 with preparing for work and independence after high school by participating in a training cohort. Providing focused services during the school day increases the number of students with exposure to the five Pre-ETS categories, thereby increasing the likelihood of a successful transition to post-secondary work and education as well as independent living. Using a variety of progressive instruction and activities throughout the training designed to promote personal growth and skills development, PRS programs creatively expose students to Pre-Employment Transition Services.

The program’s five core components are listed below and the amount of hours per component are just suggestive and can be changed not to exceed 30 hours per component.

Typically, the entire program can run up to 12 weeks, (80 clock hours) during the school year and requires us to meet with the students 2 to 3 times per week to facilitate the workshops. A short-term internship or work experience during the summer is typically the outcome that is expected at the completion of the program for most participants. During the summer we also hold 2-week and 4-week summer program camps.

Please note that adjustments and modifications can be made to customize the program in terms of duration, hours, activities and components if deemed necessary.
